Impliqués directement ou indirectement dans ces contestations, les deux principaux pays du Golfe, le Qatar et l’Arabie Saoudite, accentuent leurs rivalités sur le terrain médiatique. À partir de l’analyse contrastive d’un corpus de 4 journaux en ligne et avec les outils de la sémantique textuelle et ceux de la textométrie, nous nous intéresserons à la désignation des acteurs et des événements pendant les contestations et aux éléments langagiers employés d’un journal à l’autre dans l’objectif de percevoir plus précisément les impératifs politiques et idéologiques qui influencent leurs discours.The aim of our study of the journalistic discourses during the revolutions in Egypt and Bahrain is to highlight, through a media analysis, the power relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. By using the interpretive semantics theory and corpus linguistics, we are able to describe the meaning of words in context from a contrastive analysis of four online newspapers.
